Other metal springs - Information on selecting metal springs

bore ring DIN 7993 type B

Manufactured from steel wire EN 10270-1 type DH and SH (DIN 17223-1 type D and C, ASTM A 228, BS 5216) or from stainless steel wire EN 10270-3 / 1.4310 (DIN 17224, ASTM A313, BS 2056).

The maximum uneveness of the ring is 1.5 x the wire diameter d7.

double torsion springs

Stainless double torsion spring material EN 10270-3 / 1.4310 (DIN 17224, ASTM A313, BS 2056). Available with 2 leg positions, 0° and 90 °.

To calculate the maximum load (Fn) which a spring can take the the maximum torsional moment (Mn) must be divided by the lenght of leverage (R). Fn = Mn/R.

(Leverage = Distance from center of spring body to the point of incoming strenght)
